Lumynn is our first product.
We are building a small family of private intelligence tools for people whose notes, research, and writing need to stay theirs. For decades, not until the next acquisition or pricing email.
Why we built this.
After years shipping AI inside Obsidian (and watching how quickly “your data” becomes someone else’s training set), we wanted something simpler and stronger: a web workspace that treats plain Markdown files on disk as the permanent source of truth, and adds real grounded intelligence on top without ever phoning home.
Lumynn is the result. Self-hosted. Multi-user with true isolation. RAG and an agent that can only see what you let it see. An editor that feels native on phone and desktop. And every file is still just a .md you can open in any editor in 2035.
Principles we won’t compromise.
- Plain text is non-negotiable. If it can’t survive without our software, it doesn’t belong in your permanent record.
- Grounded or nothing. The AI must be able to show its work: citations you can click, proposals you can accept or reject into the real file.
- You choose the model. Local, hosted, cheap, frontier. Any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. We don’t pick winners.
- Isolation by default. In a multi-user instance, one person’s library and keys are invisible to everyone else, including admins.
- The interface serves the files. Modern UX is table stakes, but the files always win. The web view is a powerful lens, not the owner.
What “family of products” actually means.
Lumynn (private Markdown + agents) is the first. Future tools will share the same DNA: everything important lives in formats you control, intelligence runs where you decide, and the experience feels calm and precise rather than magical and extractive.
We are deliberately small and opinionated. We would rather have a few thousand serious users who love owning their stack than millions of free accounts whose data we monetize.
